Little Flower Book

cafe poetess

cafe poetess you blind me
let me tell you where to find me
but i know you'll never really
reach me now at all

sound around the laughter hounds me
even as the minstrel sings me
softly through the whining wind
with its clear clarion call

cups of tea and cigarettes
i'm high on these, but don't forget
i haven't hit the ceiling yet
and you and sweetness smile

word game wander where it will
with you i wonder even still
alone yet half-together till
you help me through this while
